The IM IoT doors are wide open!
Welcome to Ingram Micro Canada’s IoT Smart Operations Experience Centre
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: while most people associate Ingram Micro with its distribution services, the company is heavily diversifying its offerings with several other (and complimentary) businesses -- ranging from cloud and cybersecurity strategy to professional audio-video installations to comprehensive IT trainings.
In fact, one of the fastest-growing divisions within Ingram Micro Canada is IoT, offering a forward-thinking, systematic, and ecosystem-centric approach to the bourgeoning Internet of Things revolution.
The “ecosystem” is a critically important consideration here. Given Ingram Micro’s technology and solution platform and partners, the IoT solutions ecosystem leverages a robust selection of IoT hardware vendors, development platforms, ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), and service providers. While others might focus solely on just “connecting things,” Ingram Micro’s approach to IoT focuses on achieving business outcomes rather than just a technology discussion. From process to operational improvement or cost reduction to revenue growth, Ingram Micro empowers partners and customers to define IoT in their own terms.
To some, this sounds more conceptional than tangible. So, wouldn’t it be great if there was a place to experience fully-functional end-to-end IoT solutions?
Introducing Ingram Micro’s IoT Smart Operations Experience Centre (SOEC)!
Located within Ingram Micro Canada’s head office, in Mississauga, Ontario, the SOEC is an Internet of Things solutions center that showcases IoT solutions -- for multiple verticals –made accessible to vendors, channel partners and end customers.
Leveraging Ingram Micro’s ecosystem of technology and solution partners, the SOEC has a few key objectives. Along with illustrating how Ingram Micro Canada is a key player in this newly increasingly connected world, objectives of the SOEC focus on generating excitement by showcasing what’s possible with IoT; accelerating the learning and understanding of the myriad of concepts tied to IoT; recruiting ISVs and other partners to build a healthy practice around IoT; and driving adoption and accelerating sales cycles with end customers through effective solution demonstrations.
Ingram Micro acknowledges Intel, Cisco and Microsoft (Surface) for their sponsorship of the IoT Smart Operations Experience Centre.
For more information on the SOEC – and to book an appointment to visit for yourself – be sure to contact Ingram Micro’s IoT Business Vendor Manager Savio Lee at IoT.Sales@ingrammicro.com . Here’s a behind the scenes video I shot with Savio on Ingram Canada’s IoT story.
