In 1979, the Sony Walkman was born, Joe Clark was elected Prime Minister of Canada, and it snowed in the Sahara Desert. In that eventful year, Geza Czige and Lorraine Mecca, a wife and husband power team, formed Ingram Micro, then called Micro D. Since then, we have consistently and exponentially grown from the early days in Southern California to a global powerhouse operating on 6 continents and in 160 countries. On July 16, 2019, we celebrate 40 years of providing technology products and services to customers!
Our numbers speak for themselves. We are now a $50 billion organization, employing 30,000+ associates, globally. We have also completed over 35 acquisitions, which allowed us to expand in areas of e-commerce, mobility and cloud platforms and solutions.

At Ingram Micro, people are essential to our success, and so we pride ourselves in providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our associates. As a testament of our commitment to our associates, Ingram Micro Canada received recognition as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America.
