2020: A Year of Pivots Filled with Moments of Gratitude

We can all agree that 2020 was a whirlwind year! It was a mix of high and lows, but we'd rather concentrate on the highs. We are grateful to be in a position where we play a pivotal role in keeping Canadian workers connected. From laptops to monitors and peripheral devices, Ingram Micro and its partner network provided Canadian remote workers with the tools they needed to keep Canada productive and forge ahead in 2020. We not only did this with excellent efficiency, but we also won some awards along the way!

So, let's take a look at some of our accomplishments. Cue the drumroll, please! 🥁

Our 2020 Awards

Microsoft IMPACT Awards

Not to brag (or maybe just a tad), but we captured TWO awards at the Microsoft Impact Awards. We won the Indirect Cloud Solution Provider IMPACT Award because of our exemplary recruitment efforts (among other things) to our flagship programs. The Modern Marketing IMPACT Award was bestowed for our exceptional ROI and for surpassing business targets.

Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) Award

Did you know that we have an award-winning marketing department? We won the Bronze Award in Business Customer Experience at the Canadian Marketing Association Award Show & Gala 2020. That's coming off the heels of another bronze finish in 2019! Not only do we have the expertise to create exceptional marketing campaigns for our vendors, but we can also do the same for our resellers through our RUN Marketing program.

HR Awards

Our HR team is known for its dynamic employee engagement. The culture created mainly due to the HR team's efforts allows associates to feel like they are part of a large family. So, it's no surprise that the HR team received three awards in 2020.

  1. The Venngo Award of Excellence for Financial, Physical & Mental Wellness was awarded at the 2020 Canadian HR Award and recognized us for excelling in providing for employees' well-being financially, physically, and mentally.
  1. We also brought home the Dentsu Aegis Network Award for Best HR Communication Strategy in the 2020 Canadian HR Awards to recognize the HR team's delivery of unique, compelling, and relevant internal/external strategic HR communication.
  1. Corporate Content Awards North America 2020

The HR team walked away with the bronze award for Best Content Targeted to the Internal Audience.

Marketing Velocity Innovator Awards

Cisco presented us with the Canada Award for our "Let's Get Physical with Digital" campaign, which drove demand for resellers and their customers.

Canada's Safest Logistics & Supply Chain Employer – Excellence Award Recipient

The Safest Employers introduced in 2020 and recognizes employers with an excellent record in health and safety. We are incredibly proud of this achievement, as we take great pride in promoting our associates' health and safety.

Events

We quickly adjusted to life online and produced and presented some memorable virtual events. Here are two unique events worth noting:

ONE Event

Like the in-person version, the virtual ONE Experience event delivered on all points. Attendees were treated to sessions on November 4-5, 2020, led by Ingram Micro execs, some of our top vendors, plus fantastic entertainment from some talented performers. Pro A/V Digital Signage Event

Ever thought that an event about digital signage could be exciting? The Pro A/V and marketing teams had a 90's Block Party that left attendees wanting more. On October 22, 2020, this event featured a keynote speaker, networking session, and games. Watch out for the 2021 version of this event – it will be bigger and better!

We're enthusiastically looking forward to what 2021 brings, and we know that we'll have much to talk about at the end of it all. Cheers to 2020, and welcome 2021; we've been anxiously waiting for you.
